A peaceful morning of first snow out at the ranch..

Snow falling at the new place today (as viewed from the back steps). And thank you so much to Cat and his wife for the Christmas dinner invitation! But the weather outside is frightful ... the critter food supply's delightful! Let it blow, let it hail, let it snow!

Merry Christmas, Lin!
Stay warm, please!
Merry Christmas, Lin. Margie
Thanks for warming my heart for some time now...best wishes and prayers always. Merry Christmas.
Hi. Good to see you back with the blog. Looks like you also are having a white Christmas.
We'll call you today and let you know more about the bikes, etc. love, Red
HO-HO-HO Lin....may Christmas and the New Year bring you a better time of your life.
God Bless
pat
Merry Christmas, Christina! I saw the weather you have been getting, too - so stay warm as well!!!
A merry Christmas to you as well,
Margie. Hope you don't get this latest bit of weather next, at least not in any great quantity.
Mushy, you have warmed my heart so many times as well and it's much appreciated. I know that you and Judy and the family will have a wonderful Christmas!
Hey thanks, Pat, and a Merry Christmas to you and the family! I'm certainly hoping that 2009 will be a better year for everyone.
Red, we did get the white stuff down in the low lands as well. They are calling for more but the sky is pretty well blue and sunny at the moment (not complaining!).
Bryan called and filled me in on the bikes' health and welfare ... very encouraging news. I am so relieved that they are out of the weather now.
We're bright and sunny (weather-wise) down here... none of that obnoxious but pretty white stuff here!
Merry Christmas, Lin!
I owe ya a few replies and will get right on that...
Buck, we might not be done with the snow yet so touch wood and repeat as necessary.
I know how that goes with replies so don't worry if you're feeling snowed under (figuratively OR literally).
Merry Christmas to you, Buck!
Please stay out of the wind and be warm, Lin. And if you get peckish later, don't forget, we're having Olive Garden Lasagne.
Please take care.
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas, Lin. Love that pic of the horses. Very Christmassy:)
I'm trying my best to stay warm, Cat. Hope you are, too, maybe a warm register in the sun beams.
Oh my ... you had to mention lasagna, didn't you? Wicked, wicked, WICKED Cat! Hey, how about if I make one next Christmas? Would that tempt you two out to the boonies for a Katlady-style orphan dinner? The idea certainly gives me something to look forward to beyond one day at a time.
Merry Christmas, Goddess! Of all the critters still here, I am partial to the old goats and the horses. The pigs just don't do it for that Christmassy feeling at all.
A merry Christmas to you, too, A1! Hope it is a very special one for you this year.
You are not far from our thoughts this day. May the treasure of friends fill in those empty spaces in your heart.
Thank you so, Brigid. I've been thinking of you and your brood today as well ... and knowing that a King Henry's feast would not equal what will emerge from your kitchen.
Merry Christmas to one of the loveliest people I know. Love thoe photos - especially the snow against the back drop of dark horses - very pretty. I hope the coming year brings wonderful things for you, dearest.
Merry Christmas, Phlegmmy. I hope the holidays are treating you extraordinarily well this year - you have earned every bit of it!
Hi Lin. A very Merry belated Christmas to you. This is my first trip around to the blogs in a week, but that does not mean you have not been in my thoughts a whole lot during this time of year.
I hope knowing you have so many friends who love you helps a little bit to make you feel warm inside and cared for.
I hope 2009 is the year I will finally get to meet you!
Love you, my dear friend...
Sharon
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! The snow looks good- Hot here and blue....
Hi Lin,
Seeing as how I missed Christmas I'll wish you a Happy New Year. The horses look so pretty in the snow.
Happy New Year from all of us over the water.
Lin;
Added you to my bloggers list. Belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Years.
Like the picture of the horses. They must be right around 6 yrs old? Am thinking 4 to 5 judging by the lack of a swayed back and height to fence.
Came via Brigid's but don't tell her, K? ;)
*shhh*
Well, I'm late, but I hope you had a great Christmas.
I'm always jealous when I see photos of where you live. Hope you enjoyed your christmas.
Towanda, belated holiday greetings back - as you can see, I have been badly lagging behind on the blog lately. Hopefully I will be back on track by summer and we can finally get together. Luv ya,too!
Simon, a belated Merry Christmas!
It won't be long before you are trading seasons with us again so start looking for you winter woolies now.
Barbara, very glad to see you back - I was beginning to worry about you!
Happy New Year,Thud, sorry I have been scarce lately. Hoping 2009 will allow me to get back to a more settled schedule.
Streetsweeper, welcome! Grin, I don't have to tell Brigid - she just knows such things, of course!
The Morgans aren't mine - just residual stock awaiting new corrals at W&G's new place. One is a mare and the other is her yearling - the one who jumped their iffy fencing recently. Strikes me as another good argument to have pet turtles instead. And they eat less. And poop less.
We're all running a little late, FHB, so not to worry. I certainly can't take offense given my blog activity of late. It's great to hear from you any time.
Alex, hope you had a great holiday.
Maybe you should start thinking about trading in Bendigo for the outback?
