Please bear with me again. I want to see if Blogger has improved and will now accommodate animated .gif files. A while back, I had spent quite a fews hours making the animation A Thank You from Brou only to find that, within a few weeks, it would no longer play on the main page and that you had to click on the image for it to play on another screen.
So here is an eye-teaser sent to me by Alphonse Da Moose. I happen to love eye and brain teasers and I think you will enjoy this one as well. I even examined it frame by frame in an animation program to make sure that it was genuine.
Read the instructions and the commentary on what you willing be 'seeing' and then click on the image if it doesn't function on this page.

If your eyes follow the movement of the rotating pink dot, the dots will remain only one color, pink.
However if you stare at the black " + " in the center, the moving dot turns to green.
Now, concentrate on the black " + " in the center of the picture. After a short period, all the pink dots will slowly disappear, and you will only see only a single rotating green dot.
It's amazing how our brain works. There really is no green dot, and the pink ones really don't disappear. This is proof that we don't always see what we think we see.

Whoa I gotta lay off what ever I'm smoking.
I've seen some stuff similar to that around the traps, cant remember where though
Sorry about that, PopeT, I should have posted it long before hippie or happy hour in Oz hit. I always forget to allow for those time zones!
Yeah, you still have to click on it for it to move, but it's still amazing!
I wish you could post animated .gif files, I have bypassed so many of them, especially for Silverbacks!
Thanks for the feedback, Mushy. Guess some things will NEVER change. I can see where it would be a real benefit to your Silverbacks, too.
wow - that makes my eyes buzz, and now I'm seeing green dots everywhere!
Phlegmmy, that's how it left me - wandering around blinking like I had just wandered into someone's wedding photo session.
I had to click on it to get it to work, too. Dunno why blogger can't/won't support animated gifs. I've let a few go by as well.
But. That was way-cool! Thanks, Lin!
blink blink I feel all weird now. Thanks for the free psychodelic trip.
Dear Lin,
Are you actually assuming I have a brain?
Enjoy what little remains of your Sunday, my friend .....
Buck, I just got a tip from Mushy. He says that he has had luck with some animations if he hosts them through Flickr rather than posting them directly to Blogger. If you try this, will you let me know how it worked? I have not had any luck in dealing with Flickr yet.
Babzy, isn't it great to get a weird all over feeling when the price is right (AND legal AND harmless)? Not too much of that going around any more, I guess.
David, with your rare ability to play with words, that assumption was a classic 'no brainer'!
true!
Simon, what part was 'true'? Ya lost me!
Mellow, Dudette---MELLOW!!!
I think if I'd try this just before bed, about an hour after my dose of Percocet, I might be able to see a barnyard full of little animals inside that circle of dots!
Think I'll just stay in bed, where it's relatively SAFE, however...!!!
Oh Bruno, don't lose your sense of adventure on us now! It might prove better than counting PercoSheep after all! Sleep tight and safe tonight!
oh - fyi - my grandpa's music is up on my Monday post. I hope you like it!
Phlegmmy, I bet it's great - I'll be over right after our crab sandwich dinner is done!
Funky. magical. But hell, all I have to do is bang my head up against the wall a few times and I see spots all over the place. Aaaah, youthful experimentation.
FHB, you're right about seeing stars when you whack your head hard enough. Mark and I have done it several times on the low door headers on the generator shed and the 16' trailer. Sure didn't do it intentionally though - we're desperately trying to preserve what few brain cells we have left.
